Our Kilimanjaro Guides
I was born in Mwanza in Lake Victoria region, I believe I was born an athletic, since my early childhood I have been involved in different practices and was Karate student for more than 18 years.
After finished my High school education I joined teachers training college and was employed by Mwanza International School. I have been competent in swimming during my early years in school. And when I join the school I was more into swimming and was offered an opportunity to teach Swimming classes.
I have been a teacher for more than 6 years and continue to work out, then out of nowhere I decided to quit my job and venture out to look for something more exciting. I ended up in Arusha at Professional Tour guide school and started tour guiding and leadership course, for a year I was in Arusha and then I started looking for a permanent place in town because my instincts told me this is probably where I want to be.
In between my school years I was introduced to Mountain guiding and thatís when I realized it, my life was meant for me to be tour guide in Arusha.
I receive different in house training about Mountain guiding, Outdoor Leadership Skills and Emergency care and Rescue technique. I have to say my years as a Swimming coach and a Teacher helped me to work smoothly in Mountain guiding where people skills are mostly tested, My job need me to be with clients for most of the day while organizing and assemble and supervise my mountain crew, so most of my time are spent with people and People skills are mostly valuable during strenuous time in Kilimanjaro. It has always been a pleasure working with all types of dedicated, energetic, prepared individual and help them to achieve and realize their long life dreams.
Now am settled in Arusha and have been guiding with several companies and successfully topped Uhuru peak for 102 times, with a success rate of 85 percent.
I am a motivated individual, talkative and dedicated to my job and will work with dedication.
Looking forward to hear from you soon,
